We are very connected to our community. The board is mostly advisory in nature and at the same time very engaged in and supportive of our mission. Board Requirements Our board meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6pm. We have several active committees that meet monthly. Board members are required to support our mission and we ask that board members make a financial contribution annually. Board members honor each other and the diverse experiences of others. We value inclusion of low income residents. Onboarding Generally, the Executive Director makes an initial contact with a potential board member. The candidate then meets with the ED and a few board members where we share our mission, vision, goals, and organizational history. We can meet a few more times and one meeting may include a tour. If it is a good match a candidate is nominated to the board. We have a few vacancies that we are seeking to fill.
