We are moving toward the board being more engage in the fundraising efforts as programs now require the bulk of my time. Board Requirements The board meets no more than quarterly with one-on-one meetings with the president in between. We like the board to volunteer as judges or speakers at our events for startups and for our high school startup scholars. If you have a particular expertise we often utilize that as a committee. We currently have a marketing lead, but are seeking a fundraising lead with expertise in sponsorship and can support our grant strategy as well as develop new ways to grow our income. Onboarding Onboarding begins with a one-on-one meeting with the President. The second step is an introduction to other key members of the board to discuss fit and qualifications. It is finalized with a vote.
