You don’t need to be a writer or a teacher to join WordPlay’s dedicated volunteer community. But we do need kind, positive individuals to assist with our K-12 programs, both in schools and at WordPlay’s community writing center in Northside. From open mic nights to Ride for Reading, WordPlay hosts several community events throughout the year. And the more people we have around to help, the better! Duties may include setting up/cleaning up; distributing flyers; greeting attendees and showing them where to go; serving food and drinks; and taking photos.
