RASKALS: Random Acts of Simple Kindness Affecting Local Seniors is a program for individuals and groups to help Fairfield seniors. Twice each year, in April and November, teams of volunteers go out into Fairfield to help our local Seniors with basic yard clean-up.

The Florence Police Department hosts an eight-week course each year (typically beginning in the spring) for citizens to learn first-hand how police officers perform their duties and how the department serves the community. The academy fosters better communication between citizens and police.
The Student Ambassador program provides students with leadership opportunities in their home community. Ambassadors participate in city events and represent the city at various community activities. Ambassadors are selected through an application process.
