You are warmly invited to join us for our monthly community conversation where we explore challenges facing the current system and community-driven efforts to effect positive change. Please bring your best thinking to the table and help us elevate the needs and rights of very vulnerable kids.
IKP provides one-hour group presentations to high school and college students who are interested in learning more the child welfare system and how we can work together to improve the challenges facing abused and neglected children. Special emphasis is placed on the power of healthy relationships, empathy and community.
Help groom, train, feed, lead, side walk and maintain our horses.
Help support our team with filing, mailings, school attendance, and general record keeping.
Mentor a child and support our residents by continuing to develop appropriate relationships with adults, and keeping the youth connected to the community to which they will return.
Wish Tree Volunteers assist with making ornaments, delivering ornaments, picking up gifts and delivering to center, wrapping gifts and assisting with delivery to Seniors.
Do you have a special talent or skill that you would be interested in teaching others? Examples include crocheting, knitting, arts and crafts, educational/informative programs or talks, bingo calling, etc.
We can engage volunteers to help serve the food, desserts, help members carry trays during lunch and help with any games or special activities that are included at our parties.
Volunteers help collate various mailings at the center i.e. Newsletters, invitations, etc
Whether it’s office support, event planning, or serving on a JDRF committee (auction procurement, sponsorship, logistics or planning) your talents can make a huge difference for your local JDRF chapter.
