Host a supply drive and fundraise for CHNK. This is an especially good opportunity for introducing philanthropy and “giving back” to school-age youth!
You will go to a local neighborhood and give them CHNK door hangers to place on all the front doors in that neighborhood. Help spread the word!
You will accompany staff as they talk to youth on the streets; distributing food, hygiene supplies, and harm reduction supplies. Your primary responsibility will be to support staff on outreach.
Help Lighthouse collect new items for children, youth and families in need such as: school supplies, cleaning supplies, linens, kitchen items, baby items, bottled water, hygiene supplies and blankets.
Volunteers provide meals to youth at the Lighthouse Sheakley Center for Youth, the homeless shelter, and at the Mecum House. Meals can be made at home and dropped off or cooked in our kitchen.
The garden at the Lighthouse Community School in Madisonville always needs a helping hand.
Lend a helping hand to our instructors with performing arts classes.
Hold a dress drive with your school, church, friends and family. Ask peers to donate gently used formal dresses and accessories.
Serve on committees / serve as hosts and hostesses at events.
Help with administrative tasks.
