Teach individuals with disabilities how to ride a bike. Be a “spotter” for the same rider for each of the 5 days and experience the thrill of giving the gift of riding a bike!

As a volunteer, you’ll visit, make phone calls, attend support groups, attend memorial services and send bereavement mailings.

Create one-of-a-kind Memory Bears from VITAS patients’ clothes to comfort the family.

Visit patients and families at home, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, inpatient hospice units. Pay a friendly visit; relieve a family caregiver for an afternoon out; accompany a patient to the beauty salon, grocery store or a social event; read aloud; listen to memories; walk the dog; be the high point of someone’s day.

Patients and families explore their creative side and express their feelings through the visual arts.

Assist the site manager with press releases, neighborhood or targeted publicity, management of our website and social media accounts.

Maintain a clean and welcoming museum environment by assisting with sweeping, dusting, tidying and fixing. General handy-person skills will be utilized in a number of specific projects. Grounds maintenance may include planting, weeding, watering, picking up trash and sweeping.
