Duties include: Preparing and portioning food; serving lunch to residents and staff; delivering dinner to apartments; and light cleaning. Must be willing to follow proper safe food handling procedures and interact positively with the residents. These takes place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm or 3:00 pm to 5:00 on weekdays.
Assisting the residential staff during regularly scheduled activities, including tutoring, arts and crafts, teaching daily living skills, and leading indoor/outdoor recreational activities. Interested volunteers should feel comfortable with initiating, suggesting, and leading activities for their assigned youth. Providing child care during the Foster Care Program’s Support Group. Volunteers will be accompanied by DCCH personnel. This takes place once a month on the 2nd Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Tutoring individuals; reading with students; assisting at the library; assisting with technology, offering music or art lessons; and/or documenting monthly records. Times are between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.
Duties include but are not limited to: Answering phones; greeting and signing in visitors; sorting mail. Must have a pleasant phone voice, a “can do” attitude, and abide by the confidentiality guidelines of DCCH. This is primarily a front Desk/receptionist role for 2-4 hours per week on Mondays or Wednesdays
