Each evening, participants trickle in to play games, work on homework, color, and have a snack before the class begins an organized craft together. As youth develop their creative abilities, they are also acquiring life skills by discovering means of positive self-expression and cooperation with peers.

Our foster program is a great way to help animals in need. By providing an animal a temporary home, the foster parent has given that animal another chance at life that he/she otherwise would not have had. We are always looking for more foster families! Take calls from those in need, as well as help with seasonal calls.

Help with our season events such as: Go Local Cincinnati Garden, Turkeyfoot Trot 5k, Coat Drive, Christmas Donations, and Adopt a Family.

Students will develop flyers and posters to advertise the cleanup day and recycling program in general. Needed: 4 student planners/leaders and 30 student cleanup volunteers.

Students will design and plan a clothing giveaway “store” and sort donated clothing items and plan and organize items for future display in a giveaway store. (Need 4-6 self –motivated students – art, design majors)

Students will support preschool (during school day) and the after school program (during the 3-6pm period) by helping children with their homework & reading with them. Students can also develop and administer fun classes for children to help them learn about reading, math etc. (education majors)

Students will plan and participate in the clean-up of 7 Hills Freeman Street building. The project primarily requires garbage removal. Students will also be asked to assess the building and recommend repairs. Needed: 15-20 volunteers.

The Coalition has several committees and workgroups comprised of board members and community members.

Help with conferences, workshops, fairs, staffing tables at community events or sending out mailings.
